Free Lake Superior Fishing
Michigan's Free Fishing Weekends are two
special days when all fishing license fees will be waived for
residents and out of state visitors alike on both inland and
Great Lakes waters. However, all fishing
laws, rules and regulations still apply.
Summer: June 7 & 8, 2008
During the Fishing Free Weekends, both residents
and non-residents can fish on Lake Superior without buying a fishing
license.
All other fishing laws apply
including fishing limits.
Shelter Bay Charter's fishing charter fees are not
waived.
If you fish at any other time than the free fishing
weekends, you must purchase a fishing license whether you reside
in Michigan or live out of state.
